The Mythic Map app is a private tool used only by the owner of The Mythic Map YouTube channel to publish and review that channel's own videos. It is not offered to the public; no other users sign in to it.
YouTube API Services
The Mythic Map app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What information the app accesses
- YouTube upload and management (scopes youtube.upload, youtube): the channel's own basic channel details (name, ID), and the videos the owner uploads — their titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, captions and privacy status.
- YouTube Analytics, read-only (scope yt-analytics.readonly): the channel's own aggregated statistics — views, watch time, audience retention, subscriber changes. No data about individual viewers is requested.
How the information is used and stored
- Used only to upload the owner's videos, set their metadata, and prepare weekly performance notes for the owner's editorial planning.
- The OAuth refresh token is stored on the owner's private server in a file readable only by the owner's account; server backups are encrypted.
- Analytics figures are kept for no longer than 30 days, then deleted or refreshed from the API. Only the owner's own conclusions (for example, "shorter intros retain better") are kept longer.
Sharing
User data is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared with third parties. Aggregated channel statistics may be processed by Google's Gemini API to draft the owner's weekly notes; no personal data of viewers is involved. The information received from Google APIs is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and device data
The app and this website do not place cookies or similar technologies and do not collect information from users' devices. No third parties serve content or advertisements through the app.
Deleting data and revoking access
The owner can delete the stored token and analytics notes at any time; they are deleted within 7 days of a request. In addition to this procedure, access can be revoked at any time via the Google security settings page: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After revocation the stored token stops working and is deleted.
